Job Description

Ardent is looking for a Mid-level Developer to be a part of a team of developers working on a variety of client projects from WordPress to fully functional API and frontend projects built with Angular. This position is meant for someone who can build complex projects that require a lot of skill and precision as well as meet with clients face to face or on conference calls.

This developer will also be required to deal with outage issues regarding websites that either the client hosts themselves or that Ardent hosts.The position will be on a round-robin call list that notifies developers of an outage and who is responsible for taking care of it.

This developer must meet deadlines and book their time per client accordingly. We would like someone with a proven work ethic that can get the job done in a timely manner while maintaining organization in their code. You also need to be able to work well with a team of other developers to complete necessary tasks.


  • General understanding of web development processes and tools
  • Version Control Experience
  • Proficient at HTML/CSS/TypeScript/JS
  • Experience working with third party APIs
  • SQL Query experience
  • Experience building sites from scratch
  • WordPress experience
  • Experience working in various hosting platforms

Nice to have

  • Docker experience
  • Experience with internal networking software to interface with (LDAP, ActiveDirectory, etc)
  • ElasticSearch experience
  • Linux CLI experience
  • RHEL experience
  • PHP experience including building REST API Endpoints with systems like CodeIgniter and Laravel
  • Angular.io experience


  • 3-5 years of professional web development experience
  • Understanding of web development life-cycle
  • Ability to hand code HTML, CSS, JS and PHP
  • Ability to work with REST APIs
  • Use JavaScript to perform AJAX calls and integrate with back-end and third party systems
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Good communication skills
